What is your idea to address an unmet need of service members, veterans and their families?

Cleaning for Heroes is the only non-profit dedicated to providing no-cost house cleaning services to our disabled and elderly veterans. We accomplish this mission by partnering with cleaning services nationwide who donate their time and expertise. All services provided through Cleaning for Heroes are free of charge to our clients.

What specific population do you plan to work with? What is their unmet need?

We work with disabled and elderly veterans to provide much needed household help.

What is your implementation plan, and how would the $1,000 be used?

We would use the $1,000 to further our outreach efforts so that we can recruit new cleaning services to join us which will help us serve more disabled and elderly veterans who need our help.

How are volunteers the key ingredient to your solution?

Our services are based on a nationwide network of insured and bonded house cleaning service companies who volunteer their time, labor and expertise to provide our clients with professional house cleaning services.
